Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum: what you write to us, and what the site needs to work. Here is exactly what, why, and what you can ask for.

1. Who is responsible
Club des Amis pour la Paix (CAPP TOGO), a declared association under Togolese law with its office in Adidogomé, Lomé, is responsible for the data collected on this site. For any question or request there is one address, the one on the Contact page. We answer it ourselves; no outside company handles these requests for us.
2. What we collect
Three things, and nothing else. What you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. What your donation leaves with the operator that received it — mobile money or a bank — of which we see the donor's name and the amount. And the site's own settings: your language, your light or dark theme, your answer to the cookie message. We build no profile, we buy no data, and we follow nobody from one site to another.
3. What we use it for
Answering you, acknowledging a donation, keeping you informed if you asked to be, and keeping our accounts. Something given for one reason is not used for another: an email address written to ask a question does not become a campaign address. We never sell, exchange or rent data, to anyone, under any circumstances.
4. Who else can see it
Messages from the form reach the association's own addresses and are recorded on its server. The site and the mailboxes run on infrastructure managed by Koadi Tech, our technical provider, which uses the data for nothing but hosting it. Payment operators — mobile money, banks — handle donations under their own rules. Beyond that nothing is passed to a third party, unless the law leaves us no choice.
5. How long we keep it
Messages from the contact form are kept for three years, long enough for a conversation to come to something or fade out. Accounting records tied to donations are kept for ten years, as keeping an association's books requires. The settings stored in your browser stay with you: clearing the site's data removes them at once.
6. Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or withdraw permission you had given. Write to us: we answer within thirty days, without asking you to justify the request. If your request concerns a photograph, the image-use policy sets out the removal procedure, which is faster.
7. Applicable rules
We apply Togolese personal data protection law. For donors and partners living in the European Union we also apply the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation: minimisation, a stated purpose, and the right of access and erasure.
