About CAPP

Club des Amis pour la Paix is a Togolese association working for peace, child protection and community development. It has been active since 2017, mainly around Lomé and in villages far from the main roads.

Our Story

Our Mission

Club des Amis pour la Paix supports underprivileged children throughout Togo. Our mission is to bring them hope, happiness, protection and opportunity, so they can grow up safe and build a brighter future.

Our Vision

A Togo where no child is left out because their village is too far away, and where communities hold the means to settle their own disputes and shape their own future.

Our Objectives

  1. 01Promote child development.
  2. 02Let children experience happiness and joy during the festive season.
  3. 03Encourage school attendance and completion of basic education.
  4. 04Provide the educational resources that improve their circumstances.
  5. 05Teach children about the dangers of child trafficking.
  6. 06Offer moral support to people living in difficult circumstances.

Our Values

  • Peace, locally first

Peace begins in a neighbourhood, a school, a family. We work at that scale, the one where results are visible.

  • The dignity of people

The people we work with are not anonymous beneficiaries. How we photograph them, name them and speak about them follows from that.

  • Going the distance

We go where aid rarely arrives. It takes longer and costs more, and it is precisely why the association exists.

  • Transparency

We account for what we receive and what we do with it. We publish no figure we could not justify.
