Child Protection and Safeguarding
CAPP works with children. This policy says what we require of ourselves, what we forbid, and what happens when someone raises a concern.

1. Our commitment
A child's interest comes before the association's image, before a team's convenience and before a campaign's success. A child has the right to be heard, to say no, and not to be photographed. Nothing CAPP does should expose a child to a risk they would not have faced without us.
2. Rules of conduct
Anyone acting for CAPP — member, volunteer, partner in the field — undertakes never to be alone with a child out of another adult's sight, never to use physical punishment or humiliating words, never to offer money, a gift or a favour to one particular child, and never to contact privately a child met during an activity. These rules admit no exception, including for someone in charge.
3. Photographs and video
No image of a child is published without the prior agreement of their parents, their guardian or the institution responsible for them. We never publish a child's full name, their village and their picture together. The image-use policy sets out these rules and the removal procedure, which needs no justification.
4. Raising a concern
Anyone — a child, a parent, a volunteer, a witness — can tell us about behaviour that worries them, in writing to the association's address or by telephone. You do not need proof: a doubt is reason enough. A report can be anonymous. Nobody will suffer for reporting in good faith.
5. What we do with a report
We acknowledge it within forty-eight hours. The person concerned is kept away from any contact with children while it is looked into, which prejudges nothing. We examine the facts, inform the parents or guardian concerned, and refer the matter to the competent authorities where the facts warrant it. A well-founded concern leads to a decision, up to permanent exclusion.
6. Review
This policy is reviewed every year and after any incident. Any version published here replaces the one before it.
